I have worked in Listening Ear (Merseyside) for over eight years. Listening Ear was the first counselling organisation in Merseyside to gain BACP Accreditation. I see a number of private clients. In this time I have worked with clients with a wide range of issues such as, severe anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, childhood sexual, physical, and mental abuse, rape and sexual assault, work related stress, post natal depression, bereavement and traumatic bereavement, eating disorders and a number of personality disorders. I have used Person Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with all these clients, with effective and measured results. I find Person centred therapy a natural way to work with my counselling style. I also use Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), which is the recommended treatment for PTSD by the NICE guidelines.
I have gained great experience through my work with clients.

I worked with Fran over a period of 3 months. In that time I worked on deep seated issues that had had a massive impact on my daily life. I had had a number of counsellors who were good but never really got to the core of my problems. Fran helped me not only find the root cause of my problems but helped me find the solutions that I needed to put in place to resolve my life long issues. I would recommed Fran to anyone who is seeking help. She is professional, kind, paient and extremely Knowledgeable. Thank you Fran.Feb 17, 2011 Report
I don't know where to start as words can't express how much I need to thank Fran, and how lucky I am to have had her help. Fran has been amazing and has helped me through the most difficult time in my life. I am now a stronger and better person. She is fantastic at her job and I tell myself her advise every day. I would recommend Fran to anyone, as I trust and respect her.Apr 3, 2010 Report
