A Private & Confidential Counselling Service by Roger Sealy Dip.Couns.MBACP. Hello, I live and work in Carlisle, Cumbria. I have a diploma in counselling and utilise person-centred and cognitive-behaviour-therapy (CBT) counselling techniques. As a practitioner I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy , abiding by their code of ethics and practise. BACP is the leading professional body which exists to assist counsellors, maintain professional standards and offer all clients assurance of confidentiality. I appreciate that it may be hard to seek out what is in effect a complete stranger to talk to. I deem it a privilege to be able to be 'alongside' someone as they make their journey through 'difficult times' Please Note : Prior to commencement I shall require either, a private letter of referal from your own GP, Employee Assistance Provider or Occupational Health Provider.

Prices are per session. Counselling sessions normally last fifty minutes. With the counsellor you will be able to talk about and explore the feelings you are experiencing. It can help you understand more clearly what is happening in your life now - and how you would like things to be moving forward. It can also help to look at how you can manage with difficulties or changes. Records :- Brief counselling notes are taken after each session. These are kept secure and in the domain of the counsellor. Confidentiality:- The service is confidential. Whatever a client says will not normally passed on to anyone else, unless the client agrees. There is however,a legal requirement to disclose to the police any information relating to the detection of terrorism or drug trafficking as well as child protection issues. The counselling will be held in professional private rooms located in Carlisle. My fee is £50.00 per session. Telephone : 01228 534940.
